  You are invited to our annual Country Branches and Sections meeting that will be held at the Wattle Grove Club rooms on Saturday, 20th April 2024. We will aim for morning tea at 9.30am for a 10:00am start. 

  There was a suggestion, last year, that this meeting be moved to a date following Branch and Section AGMs. This idea was considered by Committee and it has merit, however there are a couple of pressing matters that will need to be addressed prior to the start of the Club's next financial year. As a result, we have decided to retain the existing arrangements, at least for this year. 

  I ask you put the date in the diary and please forward agenda items to the Secretary on:

  It is our preference for all Sections and Branches to be represented in person by two, but no more than three delegates however we understand this may be difficult for some of the more distant Branches. We ask you to register here so we can collect names and exact numbers for catering purposes for the day. 

  As usual, a vehicle use rebate will be paid by the club for one vehicle from each Branch.

  The days are getting shorter, dew is starting to appear on the ground some mornings, summer motoring time is on the wane so you might like to join the vintage section for their autumn rally from Perth to Serpentine on Sunday, 21st of April.

  The rally will start from the Hale Road clubrooms for a 0900  (sharp) start, travelling to Serpentine Dam where the rally will officially end after issuing prizes to lucky winners.

  Bring the family, a BYO picnic lunch and your deck chairs!

  To all speedster owners and interested parties

  Discussion about forming a Pre-War Speedster section within the VCCC WA club

  The formation of a speedster group has been talked about for a few years as a way of speedster builders getting more opportunities to use their cars. The aim is to foster the use in Western Australia of speedsters and other cars which fall within a broad category of speedsters. The aim is to have a section of the club which caters for these pre-war cars and runs activities suitable for them. The group is entirely separate from the Lake Perkolilli Red Dust Revival Motor Sports Club Inc.

  If you are interested in discussing the formation of a Pre-War Speedster Section within the VCCC, you’re invited to attend a meeting at the VCCC Clubrooms at 265 Hale Rd Wattle Grove on Sunday 12th May at 10am. You don’t have to be a member of the VCCC to come to this meeting, but if a section is formed and you would like to participate then you would need to become a member of the VCCC. So, if you have an interest in Pre-War Speedsters, and an interest in participating in Speedster related events, then join us at the meeting.

  Please RSVP by email to neilpitman54@gmail.com and put "Speedsters Section" in the subject heading by Thursday 9th May, as he needs to know numbers for catering. Please direct all enquiries to Neil. The meeting will only take about an hour but could be the beginning of an exciting new chapter in the old car movement in our State.
