Rub back and respray

    Hi Members

I am contemplating rubbing back my 74 Holden and getting it re-sprayed.

I cannot afford $20k which seems to be the average minimum on a full re-spray (even closed-door) so am wondering about doing the hard work myself - ie - the rubbing back.

Thus, can anyone please advise on the right tools, processes, tricks etc to make this process as painless as possible?

Also, should this work (rubbing back) be undertaken in an enclosed area - ie - shed etc?

Further to that, do you know of anyone who has the knowledge and experience to undertake the re-spray once the car is prepped?

I appreciate any thoughts, ideas and guidance anyone may be able to offer, with thanks in advance.

    Phil
