  WE HAVE NOW RECEIVED SUFFICIENT APPLICATIONS FOR THIS EVENT AND ANY RECEIVED AFTER 3PM WEDNESDAY 19 MARCH 2025 WILL BE HELD ON A WAITING LIST IN CASE OF CANCELLATIONS.  

  Our Patron, the Governor of Western Australia has asked the Club to provide six older vehicles for the next open day at Government House, the 12th & 13th April 2025.

  The Governor is our Club Patron so it is important that we support this request as best we can.

  Six vehicles will be required for each day and registration is now open for any club member with an appropriate vehicle to take part.  Note:  we can only have six vehicles each day.

  The requirement for the type of vehicle for display is not hard and fast.  The only stipulations being that the vehicles must be over 25 years old to correctly represent the car preservation principles we stand for as a club.  It would be great to have as wide a representation of vehicles as possible.  

  The vehicles will need to be in place no later than 9.30am each day and remain there until 3.30pm. It would be preferable to have different vehicles on each day.

  We know it is a big ask to expect owners to be on site for an extended period of time on both days, so we will be looking for "baby sitters" for each day to keep an eye on the cars and answer any questions that might arise about them.

  There will be a great range of food and beverage options available at the event. You can bring your own food however, no glass bottles or containers please. This is a free family friendly; and a alcohol and other drug free event.  There will be a variety of entertainments during the day as well as free, self-guided tours of Government House and Ballroom and pre-registration is not required. During the self-guided tour, you will learn about the history of the House, the Governor’s role, priorities and how the House is used in the present day. Guests will have the opportunity to see the Government House Ballroom, Ante Room, Executive Council Room, Royal Room, Drawing Room, Foyer and the Governor’s Study.

  Details will be updated as they come to hand with regard to access points for our vehicles and so on.

  Starting with hot cross buns, tea and coffee at the Hale Rd Club Rooms from 9.00am.

  Drivers Briefing, 10.00am, depart 10.15am for a picturesque drive to Mussel Pool, Whiteman Park ( shelter X1). Finishing with a sausage sizzle lunch plus cool drink, tea, coffee.

  As this is a catered event attendance numbers are required, please fill in the guest numbers when registering.

  This event – run by the Classic Section

    

  Starting at Mondo’s Nougat – 640 Great Northern Highway Herne Hill, with first vehicle away at 10.00am. If you wish to partake of a morning coffee before departure arrive a little earlier.  Mondo’s opens at 9.30am.

  On the Route to Toodyay you will be travelling mainly on Back Roads which most members would not have previously travelled on.  A very scenic run for all – finishing in the Town of Toodyay for an enjoyable lunch at one of the many eateries or Hotels.  You can also, if you so wish, take your own picnic lunch, and enjoy down at the river.

  The event is FREE to all VCCC members & their families providing they remember to wear their Club badge on the day. Every member who displays their Club vehicle will go into the draw to win a $100 Fuel Voucher. Winner to be announced following the event.

  The aim of the event is to bring together road-going veteran vehicle enthusiasts for a weekend of social and riding/driving pleasure. A selection of runs is available to suit the capabilities of all veteran vehicles in this picturesque location.
