  Members who have kindly donated their time to help with this year's community calendar distribution are asked to meet at the club rooms at 10am on Sunday November 30 for a briefing and to collect their map of the delivery area and bundles of calendars and booklets.  One calendar plus one A4 booklet for each residence.  Delivery must be completed by December 21.

  High viz vests are required for everyone involved with this assignment who is distributing to letter boxes on public roads.  We do have a few vests available for use but if you have one, please bring it with you.  Maybe consider buying one or two to keep in the car for future use when on the roadside during other events.  

  The following is an extract from the notice of acceptance from the City of Albany which outlines the project scope and conditions:

  Thank you for your assistance in delivering the 2026 Community Calendar. Below are the important details regarding the collection, delivery, safety, and invoicing for your group:

  There are 70 calendars per box and you will need to collect 33 boxes.
  As discussed at the last meeting, there are also the Albany 2026 A4 booklets.  These will be available for collection at the same location.  There are 150 booklets per box so you will need to collect 15 boxes. Calendars must be delivered within the agreed dates 24 November - 21 December 2025. Coordination of the delivery is at your discretion. Any undelivered calendars should be returned to the City’s North Road office.

  Approximately 2,250 mailboxes.

  Safety Precautions
  As a reminder, your club is responsible for ensuring appropriate health and safety precautions are taken, including:

  • Wearing high-visibility clothing and sun protection.
  • Briefing members on safety precautions for safe road use.
  • Providing all required vehicles, supervising adults, logistical support, and health and safety equipment.

  If children are engaged in the delivery:

  • They must be appropriately supervised by an adult with the necessary police clearances.
  • Children must be a minimum of 10 years old.
  • All vehicles must be operated in accordance with state law, including wearing seat belts, and no passengers riding in trailers or the back of utes.

  MANJIMUP CHERRY FESTIVAL SATURDAY 13 DECEMBER 2025

  Depart on Friday 12 December run to Manjimup for the Cherry Festival.  For folk leaving from Perth I suggest we meet at Pioneer Village at 7.30am to depart at 8.00am sharp- then onto Pinjarra train station for a quick comfort stop.  We then continue onto Collie VCCC Clubrooms for morning tea. After morning tea onto Boyup Brook to the Bert Hayes Museum and then onto lunch. 

  Saturday 13 December the organisers have requested us to take our Vehicles up to the Imperial Oval.  It is at the end of Brockman St straight up the hill from Post Office, cross over Moore St into Oval by 9.00am prior to Grand Parade starting through the town at 9.55am.  We will then park our cars in the Main Street which wil be closed to others until 4.00pm.

  Sunday 14 December - travel home.

  The Christmas function this year will be a buffet lunch at the club rooms in Kitson Road on Sunday December 14 commencing with fellowship from 11.30am followed by the luncheon catered by Joe and his team from Le Grande Motel.  $32.50 per person for a set menu which is outlined in the attachment.  BYO drinks and nibbles.

  The payment option using Stripe has not been set up for this event as these are credited to the main club account and we get reimbursed after the event.  There are taxation implications and it is just another layer of payment reconciliation we don't need.   Albany Branch payment only please. 

  I shouldn't have to mention this but it has happened in the past and at last year's lunch.  Please don't turn up on the day expecting a feed if you haven't registered.  A little bit of effort on your part to register helps the event organizers and caterers immensely and it avoids taking food off other people's plates to create additional meals.  We cannot accommodate 'walk-ins' and you will be turned away.  You must register and pay by no later than Saturday December 6 - no exceptions.

  CMC Classic Car Show Sunday 29th March 2026 Robinson Park, Tuart Hill

  Located on Park Street, Tuart Hill next to Osborne Library, Robinson Reserve has a variety of amenities as well as lots of space for displaying vehicles.

  The change of venue means that the CMC can arrange for a range of food trucks, coffee vans etc— something not possible at Ascot. A special area for vendors and supplementary displays will enable a wide scope of entertainments to take place.

  The Council of Motoring Clubs of WA has some 100 classic car clubs as members and our Club, the Veteran and Classic Car Club plays a major role. Watch out for more details over the coming months about the event at this new venue.

  Robinson Reserve features various shelters, BBQs, accessible public toilets, accessible picnic tables, beginner skate area and basketball half-court. There’s a great playground for children as well.
